When a monitor's checks fail, Uptimewolf automatically opens an incident that records what failed and when. You review incidents under the Incidents section, see their start time, end time and length, and add notes to document the timeline for cleaner post-mortems.
Working with incidents
What is an incident?
An incident is a record Uptimewolf opens when a monitor's checks fail. It captures what failed and when, so a failed check becomes something you can track rather than a notification that vanishes.
Where do I see my incidents?
Open the Incidents section in the sidebar to review current and past incidents, including their start time, end time and length.
Can I add notes to an incident?
Yes. You can leave notes on an incident - what you found, what you changed - for a clean record and easier post-mortems.
How do incidents relate to status pages?
Incidents reflect the health of your monitors, and your status pages show that state to customers, so people can see when something is wrong without contacting support.
