Setting up Uptimewolf
What is Uptimewolf?
Uptimewolf is an uptime monitoring platform. It continuously checks whether your websites, servers, ports, domains, DNS records and game servers are up and healthy, publishes branded status pages, and alerts you the moment something breaks.
How is the dashboard organised?
The left sidebar groups everything by type: Dashboard for an overview, then Uptime monitors, DNS monitors, Server monitors, Heartbeats, Domain names and Game servers for the things you watch. Status pages, Incidents, Projects, Notification handlers and Tools round it out.
How do I create my first monitor?
Open Uptime monitors and click Create monitor. Give it a name, choose a ping protocol, enter the URL or host, set a check interval, and save. The monitor starts checking from your selected ping locations immediately.
Do I need to install anything?
For uptime, DNS, domain, heartbeat and game-server monitoring, no. Only server monitors use a lightweight agent that you install on the machine you want to track for CPU, RAM and disk.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every plan starts with a 5-day free trial and no credit card is required to begin. The 16 free network tools are available to everyone with no account.
