How do I create a DNS monitor?
Open DNS monitors and click Create DNS monitor. Give it a name, enter the domain name, set a check interval, choose which DNS types to query, optionally assign a project, and click Create. Uptimewolf then checks those records on the schedule you set.
Which DNS record types can Uptimewolf monitor?
When creating a DNS monitor you select which DNS types to query: A, AAAA, CNAME, CAA, MX, NS, SOA and TXT. All eight are selected by default - untick any you don't need.
What happens when a record changes?
When a tracked record changes, Uptimewolf alerts you through your notification handlers and records the change, keeping a history of values so you can see exactly what changed and when.
